KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL

Every place there is always a festival that everyone is celebrating. Kannawidan Festival is one of the most popular festivals here in our province. We celebrate it every year, during the first week of February at the Quirino Stadium, Metro Vigan.

        It is festival wherein the entire province of Ilocos Sur will participate on the different contests that will happen. There different towns of Ilocos Sur will gathered all to present their own products of their town, like in our town in Sta. Catalina, we produced many kinds of vegetables or different crops and many more towns with their products.

        This festival also attracts many tourists to come and visit this very beautiful place. It is also their opportunity to see the real beauty and cultures of the one of the new cities of the world, Vigan.

MY REFLECTION

MY REFLECTION

The third grading period is about to end. But before that, I enjoyed the Christmas vacation, while I’m having the vacation, I have to finish three more requirements, my blog, poem about math and leisure in English.

This chapter, we tackled all about HTML Tags. Everyday, I Iearn so many things about it. How to use this HTML tags and how to make a Web Page.

It’s about using the computer and I know that I am not good in it, so it is my problem in I.C.T. The other subject like math, I can’t understand our lessons because it’s very difficult and it’s hard to solve bigger numbers. My other subjects, no problem anymore.

I can face the challenges that I encountered with the help of my classmates. Whenever I can’t understand our lessons, I’ll just ask my classmates and they will teach me until I can already understand.

Moving on, will focus on my studies to have good grades and do my projects and home works at the right time so that I will not fail so that I will march in our graduation day!!

NEW YEAR, NEW ME

New Year, this is the time wherein most of the people around the whole world like to make promises, to change the other side of them, the bad side from the past years. Making New Year’s resolutions is the easy part, but sticking with them throughout the year can be difficult.

        Many things that I would like to change, from my bad attitudes, to make myself to become better person. First of all, I don’t want to be lazy anymore even when I am in the school or at home. Recently, I noticed that I am only working when someone told me to do something, like in our classroom in our school, I will not help them in cleaning our room if they will not also clean our room. Next, to improve or maintain good grades in school especially those subjects I don’t understand easily like using the computer and about grammar in English or in Filipino, these are my weakness in school and will just focus on it so that I will not fail in my grades to make my parents proud of me. I will also do my home works and projects before the date to be submitted. About money, I will save more money so that if I need it I will have extra money to spend and I will just buy things that I need most. Time is gold, so I will use my time wisely so that I can do anything at the right time. Learning new things in my life is  also one of my goals in this year.

        These are just my simple resolutions this year and I hope that I can fulfill it this coming days and months of the year.

ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

          Christmas, we celebrate it yearly, every 25^th of December. It is a season of gift-giving to one another, family-bonding and many more. This is a special day for us, for we all know that this day was the birth of our savoir, Jesus Christ. Many people around the world are preparing, months before Christmas to feel the essence of it.

          Two or three months before Christmas, we can already feel the essence of Christmas. Everyone is very excited to decorate their houses. Building or making their unique Christmas trees, decorating every part of their houses with different kinds of Christmas decors like Christmas lights, lanterns and more. Many children are carolling from house to house and they are very happy whenever they will be receiving money. And nine days before Christmas, December 16, the simbang gabi will start officially and most of all people will go to church to complete the 9 simbang gabi because we believe that when we can complete it, our wishes will be granted. Many delicious food will be served on the day of Christmas.

           Christmas is the time that we should show our love to everyone and to our love to Jesus for everything He gave to us especially for our families who are always there to inspire us to do something good to our fellow.

CLIMATE CHANGE

People  already knew that our planet is suffering from different casualties and one of them is climate change. It scares us whenever this can occur. It can damange everything around us, people and other creatures on Earth. Everyone is asking why climate change is happening! Here are some reasons: First, the wrong doings of the people in our environment; we keep on burning plastics where in the smoke of it has an effect on the atmosphere which can make our world getting warmer. And also the factories that send gases such as cabon dioxide into the atmosphere. Pollution is also the common problem, evryone dump their garbage everywhere. Many people are cutting down billoins of trees in many countries and the remaining trees are not enough to absorb bad gases in the Earth’s atmosphere. This is terrible for the environment.

        What can we do to avoid this? First, stop burning plastics, or we can use our creativity to make recycle products out of plastics. Second, instead of cutting trees, we should campaign to plant more trees so that the carbon dioxide will be absorbed and it also help us when heavy rain come, soil erosions in the mountains will be prevent

        Let us help each other to maintain cleanliness in our surrounding. Save our Planet Earth

       English, an international language wherein almost everyone knows it. We use it in our daily lives, we use this language to make something easier for us to understand, with the help of literature and the people who are good in it.

        Everyone, every country in this world, they have their own language that they are used to it, but many of us are studying the english language for some reasons. You always do your best to know about every single detail about it. We use it in communication, like if you will go to another place and the other people there use different language, you use this language so that you both understand on what you are trying to say. You also use it when you are finding a good job. It enhances you when you use your ability in listening, writing and speaking to make you better in using it.

        Using this language is very useful to us in many ways. We should take it seriously so that you will not left behind while the others are excelling to use it. And with the help of the books or any reading materials, we can enhance our minds to use this language every time.

Every people in the world has their own right, to treat someone properly or fairly whether they are rich or poor, a man or a woman. Everyone should recognize their presence so that discrimination among them will be removed and equality will be practiced.

       During the earlier times, there was already discrimination between men and women. Men or boys were the most priority of the society. They were the one who were well-educated and will become very important person. They were also very powerful person because of their position as the leader of a country. While on the other hand, ladies, who experienced miserable life, they were just inside in the house to be a servant.

       There are lot of changes during this days, boys and girls or ladies or gentlemen are already equal. Now, women are already capable of doing  something better than the things that only man can do before. We should remove the gaps between a man or a woman. We deserve to have equal rights and equal opportunities, so treat one another fairly.
